Season structure

Each Serie A club plays the other 19 sides twice — once home, once away. Matchdays span Friday night to Monday night with TV-driven early and late kickoffs. Exact kickoff times are confirmed 2-3 weeks ahead.

A 4-week mid-season break for Christmas / New Year is standard; the calendar resumes mid-January.

Derby calendar

Derby della Madonnina (AC Milan vs Inter) is played twice at San Siro per season — both clubs share the venue. Derby d’Italia (Juventus vs Inter) splits across Allianz Stadium (Turin) and San Siro. Derby della Capitale (Roma vs Lazio) is played twice at Stadio Olimpico.

Expect resale prices to rise 50-100% in the final week before each derby, with knockout-level pricing on Champions League nights as well.

Tessera del Tifoso explained

The Tessera del Tifoso is an Italian fan-loyalty card required to sit in some home sectors at high-risk Serie A matches. International fans do not need a Tessera if they buy seats in neutral zones or visiting-fan allocations — Tixticks listings restrict accordingly.

Stadium and matchday notes

San Siro hosts both AC Milan and Inter — confirm which club is the home team on the listing. Allianz Stadium (Juventus) is north of Turin; the metro and tram links work but get crowded on big nights. Stadio Olimpico (Roma / Lazio) is in central Rome with metro Line A nearby.

Italian stadiums often require photo ID matching the ticket; bring a passport. Concessions are increasingly contactless but cash is widely accepted.
